Dikisahkan pada tahun 2020, olahraga tinju telah mengalami perubahan ke arah yang lebih modern. Dimana, keterbatasan manusia saling beradu di atas ring, mulai tergantikan oleh teknologi robot yang dikendalikan manusia melalui remote control.Para robotlah yang bertarung layaknya petinju. Kekerasan nyata tanpa kontrol. Saling membantai sampai hancur berkeping-keping. Itulah tujuan akhirnya. adegan pertarungan di real steelCerita Film diawali dari kehidupan Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman). Sang legenda tinju yang berjuang dari kesulitan hidup akibat hutang yang menumpuk karena selalu kalah dalam pertarungan tinju antar robot.
The Ambush, robot terakhir sisa harapannya, harus kalah pada pertunjukan terakhir melawan banteng. Memaksanya untuk segera mencari pengganti sekaligus melunasi hutang-hutang.Kebetulan pada saat bersamaan di pengadilan, pemutusan hakim perkara hak asuh anak sedang dilaksanakan. Melihat hal itu, Charlie membuat perjanjian dengan ayah angkat Max, agar membayar 100.000 dollar.Dari situlah awal petualangan baru dimulai, antara ayah dan anak yang baru bertemu. Saling berdebat dan merasa paling benar. Charlie lagi-lagi harus menelan kekecewaan. Karena sudah tidak ada peluang untuk memiliki robot baru, Charlie dan Max menuju ke tempat pembuangan. Karena ketidakhati-hatiannya, Max terjatuh dan beruntung tersangkut di sebuah rongsokan lengan robot. Sebuah robot yang akan menjadi tolak balik kehidupan keduanya.Dari sisa onderdil Ambush dan Noisy Boy, dengan bantuan Bailey seorang teknisi, Robot bernama ATOM dari Generesi kedua keluaran tahun 2014 berhasil dihidupkan kembali.Meskipun bertubuh kecil, Atom yang digerakkan berdasarkan respon proteksi dari gerakan Max dan Charlie mampu menghajar lawan-lawannya yang lebih besar. Akhirnya, taruhan demi taruhan berhasil dilalui, Atom semakin terkenal di kalangan pertandingan tinju antar robot.Sampai akhirnya, mereka menuju ke pentas pertandingan tinju bergengsi di dunia. A warning means giving information of the danger or unexpected situation that my happen if a person does something. He/she wants that person will be more careful. When we see a snake on a tree, for example, we may shout our friends "Watch out" It means we inform them be careful and to pay attention to the snake.

A warning is usually in the form of imperative, but it may occur with the modal "must" and "should"

ASSIGTMENT 3

                 Jackie is a boy who is so trapped by his fears and doubts that he could not communicate with anyone. His condition is so severe that the doctors are giving up and the parents are losing hope for him to live as something more than a zombie. Then, a magic dragon named Puff comes to help Jackie by taking his soul force on a wonderous voyage to his island of Honah Lee. Along the way, they have adventures that nurture Jackie's imagination and courage in unorthodox ways. However, their arrival at Honah Lee is marked with horror as they see the land despoiled and desolate which leaves Puff powerless. Yet while trapped in his despair, Puff soons to his own astonishment just how well he has changed Jackie for the better as the boy responds to this tragedy in his own way.

Definition Narrative

Narrative text is a text which contains about story (fiction/non fiction/tales/folktales/fables/myths/epic) and its plot consists of climax of the story (complication) then followed by the resolution.
The narrative text short story is telling of a story or an account of a sequence of events. One of the four traditional forms of composition (along with description, exposition, and persuasion). Narration differs from exposition, which can also relate a sequence of events, in that narration need not be factual and may be written from the perspective of a character in the text.

Social Function

A narrative text is a text amuse, entertain and deal with actual or vicarious experience in different ways. Narrative deal with problematic events which lead to a crisis or turning point of some kind, which in turn finds a resolution.

Generic Structure

 The generic sctucture of a narrative text:
1. Orientation: Sets the scene and introduces the participants.
2. Complication: A crisis arises
3. Resolution: The crisis is resolved, for the better or for worse.
4. Re-orientation: Optinal
5. Evaluation: A stepping back to evaluate the plight

Languange Feature

Description of characters and places using:
-         Adjectives to describe nouns – heavy, frosty, transparent, grumpy
-         Adverbs – to describe verbs – quickly, secretly, quietly, energetically, suddenly
-         Similes – to compare one thing with another, using like or as … as – as bright as the moon, the kiss felt like a butterfly’s wings against her cheek
Time words – Once upon a time, long ago, then, last week
Verbs indicating actions in the story – hid, ate, ran, whispered, looked

CONTOH NARRATIVE TEXT : GOLDEN EGGS

Long time ago a remote village, in central China was inhabited mainly with farmers and hunters. One day, a poor farmer lost his entire livestock to flood. He prayed hard to God for help or his family would die of starvation.
Few days later, an old man with long grey beard, passed by his house took pity on him. He gave him a goose and said “ I don’t have any expensive thing to give you and hope this goose will help you to ease your hardship.”
A week later to almost surprise the farmer found and egg in his yard. This was no ordinary egg. It was a golden egg. He was suddenly overcome with joy.
Thereafter, his livelihood had rapidly improved but the farmer had forgotten his earlier hardship. He became lazy, arrogant and spendthrift.
Strangely, the goose only laid one golden egg every six months. The greedy farmer lost his patient and slaughtered his goose thinking there were plenty of golden eggs inside its stomach.
Though he very much regretted for his foolishness, it’s already too late

MEMBUAT TOPENG DENGAN LIMBAH KERTAS

Topeng merupakan reflika wajah yang digunakan pada wajah untuk memerankan suatu karakter. Topeng biasanya digunakan untuk pertunjukan tari topeng dalam membawakan peran-peran tertentu. Topeng juga sering digunakan oleh anak-anak untuk bermain dengan sesamanya, seperti melucu dan menakut-nakuti temannya. Berbagai karakter topeng sering kita jumpai, ada wajah menakutkan, wajah lucu, wajah tua, wajah sedih dan ada juga wajah/muka binatang.
Bentuk topeng dapat dibuat dengan berbagai media/bahan, di ataranya dari kayu, plastik, karet, fiberglass, kertas, dan lain-lain. Berikut ini mari pelajari membuat topeng dengan memanfaatkan limbah kertas. Untuk membuat topeng dengan bahan kertas terlebih dulu harus dibuatkan acuan/cetakan dari tanah liat. Cetakan tidak usah dibuat terlalu halus, buatlah wajah-wajah yang unik dan lucu.
Bahan yang diperlukan dalam membuat topeng kertas, antara lain : satu kilo gram kertas, lem kertas dari tepung kanji, air dan cat warna. Alat-alat yang diperlukan dalam dalam membuat topeng kertas, yaitu cetakan dari tanah liat, gunting, kuas, dan ember.
Cara membuat topeng kertas :

• Ambil cetakan yang telah disiapkan dan mulailah membuat topeng. Untuk lapisan kertas pertama, ambilah kertas selebar wajah topeng yang hendak dibuat dan celupkan ke dalam air, kemudian ditempel pada permukaan cetakan perlahan-lahan mengikuti lekukkan bentuk cetakan. Lapisan kertas kedua dan seterusnya, menggunakan potongan kertas kecil-kecil dan diberi lem agar melekat dengan kuat. Selama penempelan kertas, perhatikan dan ikuti lekukan-lakukan bentuk wajah topeng pada cetakan agar bentuk topeng nampak jelas.
• Setelah selesai tahap penempelan kertas, jemurlah dan anginkan agar bentuk topeng menjadi kering. Bila sudah kering lepaskan topeng lapisan kertas dari cetakannya dan rapikan pinggirnya dengan gunting.
• Tahap finising, mengecat muka topeng sesuai dengan warna karakter yang diinginkan, misalnya alis diberi warna hitam, bibir warna orange, kulit wajah dengan warna putih, dan sebagainya. Jenis warna yang digunakan, boleh dengan cat minyak atau dengan cat air (acrelyc). Setelah selesai diberi warna dan bila warnya sudah kering, beri lubang pada bagian mata dan hidung untuk melihat dan bernafas bagi pemakainya. Di pinggir samping kiri kanan dekat mata diberi tali karet sebagai pengikat saat dipakai.
  

Selain cara di atas, membuat topeng dari limbah kertas dapat juga dilakukangan dengan cara : mengolah kertas menjadi bubur kertas yang kemudian dicampur dengan lem yang terbuat dari tepung kanji. Bubur kertas diterapkan pada permukan cetakan/acuan secara merata mengikuti bentuk lekukan cetakan. Keringkan untuk beberapa waktu untuk memudahkan melepas lapisan bubur ketas dari acuan dan selanjutnya diwarna sesuai dengan keinginan.
